Older music students are not a rare breed, they come back to learn music at all ages. Younger students are not sure if they should study and play. In either case you have to try to find out.
Learning principals of music is a must, however, picking up a book at the bookstore that does all the work for you is not enough. You have to do more and apply more to be able to easily and quickly learn music theory.
It is interesting that we have such a love of music and for many of us it’s easy to listen to the radio and download our favorite song for a buck, but when it comes to playing or creating our own music it’s a whole different world. Why do you want to learn?
